Website terms of use

Newscooper Ltd, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Company number 17368130. Last updated 11 September 2026.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to newscooper.com and to any page we publish under it. By using the website you accept them. They do not govern the Newscooper service itself; use of the service, including pilots, is governed by a separate written agreement between Newscooper and your organisation. If you have such an agreement, it prevails over these terms for anything it covers.

2. What the website is for

The website describes what Newscooper does and lets you contact us, book a call and join our monthly update. It is information about our service, not the service.

3. Illustrative content

The Story Record shown on this website, and any company names, figures, timelines, claims and statuses in it, are illustrative. They are made up to show how the service presents a developing story and do not refer to any real company, person or story. Nothing on the website is a statement of fact about any real organisation.

4. No reliance, no advice

Content on the website is general information. It is not legal, regulatory, financial or communications advice, and you should not act on it as such. Any description of how the service works is a summary; the scope of what the service does for a customer is set in the customer's agreement.

5. Our intellectual property

The Newscooper name, logo, the words Story Record and Story Brief as used here, and all text, design and images on the website belong to Newscooper Ltd or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use and share links to them. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt or redistribute the content for any other purpose without our written permission.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the website in a way that damages it, interferes with its availability, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to it or to the service. You may not scrape, crawl or extract content from the website by automated means, and you may not submit false information through the contact or update forms.

The website links to third-party services, including Calendly for bookings and LinkedIn. Those sites have their own terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the website available but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or remove content at any time.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its content, and in any event our liability to you in connection with the website is limited to £100.

10. Privacy

How we handle personal data collected through the website is set out in our Privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute about them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
